Canvas Art

Selecting the right canvas wall art size depends on where you choose to hang it. Generally, if you’re hanging canvas art above a piece of furniture, choose art about one-half to three-fourths its width. For example, if your sofa is 90 inches wide, canvas art between 45 and 67.5 inches would be an ideal fit.

For blank walls, use the three-eighths rule. This means you should have about three-eighths of blank wall space on either side of your framed canvas art. Calculate the sizing by multiplying the width of your wall by 0.57. So, if your dining room wall is 11 feet wide (132”), canvas wall art around 75 inches wide would work wonderfully. Of course, these are just guidelines, and you can break the rules as you see fit.

Your living room is superb to let your canvas wall art shine. Analyzing your space and deciding the aesthetic you’re going for is always the first step in choosing canvas wall art for your living room.

Once you have your vision in mind, there are some essential spots where canvas wall art can stand out the most. Utilizing empty wall space is the goal. That could be next to a large ficus, above a cozy sectional, credenza, or your fireplace.

A tastefully designed living area might have one standout piece, a framed canvas art set, a gallery wall, or a combination. The goal is to create a space that looks and feels right to you.
