Simmons Beautyrest Mattresses

Known as “the world’s best luxury mattress brand,” Beautyrest launched in the United States in 1925. It was the first mattress company to offer a signature, mass-produced bed featuring the then-new technology of “Pocketed Coils,” which provides motion separation and support. Since 2016, Beautyrest has been manufactured by Serta Simmons Bedding of Doraville, Georgia, the same company behind Serta, Simmons, and Tuft & Needle.

Each Simmons Beautyrest mattress includes a ten-year limited warranty that covers manufacturing defects, such as cracked or split foam and expressive compressions. Experts recommend replacing your mattress every five to seven years.

Several factors can affect the lifespan of a mattress, including the mattress type, materials, and quality, as well as a person’s body weight and sleep position. A protective cover such as a Beautyrest mattress protector can help your mattress last by guarding against spills and stains.

Technically, no. Beautyrest designs its mattresses to provide individualized support, motion separation, contouring pressure relief, and airflow throughout the night, so a Beautyrest mattress should not be flipped. However, you can rotate the mattress every six months for even wear. Just make sure the mattress’s original quilted cover faces up.

Any mattress will start to sag from regular use over time as the materials compress. A person’s sleep position or body weight (or a pet sleeping at the foot of the bed) also might cause sagging. Rotating the mattress periodically can help allow for more even wear, as can using a supportive foundation. For instance, a Beautyrest adjustable base provides sturdy support and additional features such as a massage system, adjustable head and foot angles, and settings to relieve snoring.

Side sleepers tend to enjoy more cushioning that cradles the body, relieving pressure on the hips and shoulders. We recommend a responsive mattress with lush support, such as the Beautyrest Dresden Plush Mattress or the Beautyrest Harmony Divers Bay Plush Pillow Top Mattress, which transforms plastic bottles hand-collected from coastlines and waterways into a premium and lush sleep surface.
